Playing some "Catch"-Up
I can't believe I havent posted since the end of February! We are always so busy and I also have had alot of other distractions in my life that I felt needed my attention more than my blog. But hopefully I can keep up on better especially with summer quickly approaching or maybe we will be so busy enjoying the summer that I wont have time to post again, either way I am enjoying staying busy and we are all doing well. Something new....Caleb made the FHS Baseball C-team! We are so proud of him and all of his hard work and committment to the game he loves. While he has had some ups and downs, I know he would agree that he is learning alot about baseball and about himself. As an 8th grader, you are at the bottom of the totem pole but Caleb has proven to be worth the spot of being on the team and has proven to the coaches why they chose him. A highlight that happened last week was he was playing right field, a position he has rarely ever played since playing ball and hasnt played there yet this season but he was there when a popfly was heading his way, he back peddled towards the fence, caught the ball and threw it ALL THE WAY TO HOME PLATE from right field. Not too many people can do that! The catcher caught it and we got the out. It was by far one of the best moments we have seen with Caleb. Very cool. He gets to pitch, play third and hit in the line up. He is blossoming into a really great ball player.
For Spring break we decided to just take it easy and hang out at home. We slept in, went bowling, ate ice cream, played games, watched movies and took a little day trip to Pagosa Springs, Co. Here are some pictures from that day. When we got there to the springs, Carly says "It smells like my eggs." Haha. It really did but was the perfect day to enjoy the springs.

This week...
Poor Aubs has been so sick this week. She has had a really high fever since Saturday, along with headaches, sore throat and a horrible cough. She has been so sick, I kept her home from school each day this week so far. Today she seems to be on the mend and I am tempted to keep her home again tomorrow. She has been getting ansy being at home even feeling as bad as she has been , she misses her teacher and her friends. She really loves school and is missing her dance and soccer activities as well. I hope no one else gets it and that she feels better by the weekend. She is still my little beauty even being such a sicky.
Caleb presented his National History Day project last night and man, I am so happy that it is done. Papa Phil helped Caleb make the board out of plywood and make the sign look so good. Caleb painted it all and Me and him stayed up late one night putting it all together. Papa Terry sent his cool coin from Hawaii for him to use as a primary source on his board too. It took a village to put this thing together, so here it is...
I am so proud of Caleb! He did all the research and put a big paper together about Pearl Harbor. He had started out with a different idea but ended up at the last minute changing it because of his interest in Pearl Harbor. He added some pictures of our trip to Hawaii when we got to go and actually see it in person, so he has a personal connection with it and wanted to share that through his project. He gets to represent Hermosa next week at Regionals and if he places there, he will move on to state that is in April. Great job Cal!

Our Birthday Girl
Our baby girl turned 3 on Wednesday! Miss Carly is growing up so much. She seems to have even over night. Since all of her siblings have had their birthdays the past 6 months, she has been counting down and waiting patiently for her special day. She talked about her pink cake that she wanted and her "berbay" presents for weeks. She wanted everything princess and got some great new things she loves. She woke up so early on her birthday. Mitch had gone early to get her some donuts and so we sang Happy Birthday to her and let her blow out three candles on her donuts. After we sang to her she said "Thank you for my berbay." She was just so excited and super adorable all day.
We are so blessed to have this little gem in our family. Carly likes to ....
Play with her sisters and brother
Anything princess and watches the movies all the time
Yo Gabba Gabba

Going to eat at Costa Vida
Her church friends and nuersery leader, "Kassie mama"

Baseball Try Outs
Yesterday Caleb went to his first day of High school baseball try outs. He was really nervous but ended up having a good day! He impressed the coaches with his hitting. Its going to be a very long month of practice but I hope even though he is an 8th grader that he will make the C-team and get the opportunity to play. Keeping our fingers crossed Caleb! We are super proud of you!

Teefers
Last week Caleb got his braces on. He has to wear them for 2 years and seems to be adjusting well to them. I think he looks older with them on. Crazy to think he will be almost 16 when he gets them off.
And then out of nowhere, this chic lost her first tooth!! The tooth fairy even came and brought her $5. Lucky duck. Brynley is just growing up so fast.

17 years
17 years ago we were just a couple of teenagers who happened to be really great friends, who eventually fell in love. The end.
It really was that simply in so many ways for us. Just in between the fell in love and the end, insert had a baby right out of high school, went to college, went back to church, Mitch got baptized, got married, got sealed in the SLC temple, Mitch got a great job, scraped our way to buying a home, had Aubrie, I went back to school, we had lots of walks to the park, had Brynley, bought another home, I graduated from college, had Carly, and now we find ourselves enjoying our beautiful kids and each other because along these 17 years together we have realized what truly matters most to us and that is each other.
I love you so much Mitchel Lybrook. Still after all these years together I love you more than Diet Vanilla Coke.
