My romantic story...

Yesterday as the previous posts states, we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary! I am sure everyone is sick of hearing about this but I just had to write it down, so that when I am an old grannie I can remember this great day.
Mitch and I exchanged our cards and gifts over his favorite breakfast that I made, breakffast burritos. He liked the new watch and cologne I got him. I loved the necklace and gift cards he gave me:) When he gave me the necklace he said "I tried to find you something really awesome but there wasnt anything that great out there. Sorry."
He took the kids to school as usual. After I heard the garage door close and him coming up the stairs, I glanced up to see him coming up the stairs all dressed up in a suit and tie, holding a bottle of sparkling cider, and something behind his back. He took me by the hand, got on one knee and said "We tend to do things backwards. I never officially proposed to you, so I am asking you now Will you marry me again?" I started crying and he gave me a tiny black box. In the black box was the prettiest ring I could have ever asked for! Its stunning really. A picture of it doesnt even do it justice. But here is a pic of my new bling! I was so shocked to get such a beautiful gift. Sure maybe I was hoping for it but to actually have him surprise me and throw me off the way he did was the best ever! Thank you honey. I love my new ring and yes I will marry you again:)

The bottom band isnt connected to the other band. And I love that you can see the point of the diamond from the side the way its set in the setting. And you gotta love that platinum:))

A Decade.

Yep, I married my sweetheart 10 years ago today. Best day of my life. As I have been thinking about this significant milestone in our marriage, I thought about what these 10 years hold inside of them. (Mitch and I even extend even farther than 10 years, 14 years we have been "together" and we met 17 yrs ago in the 7th grade.)
10 years can hold so much. I think about how much our love has grown, how many kids we have brought into this world in 10 years, places we have lived, places we have gone, fights we have had, love we have shared, laughter we have had, experiences that have ultimately changed our life, made us who we are and brought us closer together. We have grown up together and grown closer. Its amazing where your life can go in 10 years. We have had ups and downs but through it all, we have been together, helping one another along the way. I think that is what a solid marriage consists of- accepting eachother no matter what and helping eachother no matter what. I feel very grateful to have found my soulmate early in life. That we have been able to be together and to have made the life that we share.
I feel so completely blessed to have found such a special person to share my life with. Mitch makes it easy to love him. He is full of integrity and I trust him completely. He is so genuine. He doesnt fake with anyone and will tell you his honest opinion, even if you dont want to hear it:)
I think he is the funniest person I have ever met! He makes me laugh everyday. I get his humor and I love it.
He makes me feel beautiful and tells me everyday.
I think the most admirable quality that he has is what a great father he is. He really gives of himself when it comes to our kids. He is there for them unconditionally. He will miss work, sacrifice his sleep, his alone time, his friendships, and give all his energy for our kids. I dont think he realizes how great he is with them. He is a great example to each of them and shows them each how much he loves being their dad. They are good kids because of him.
Mitch I hope you know how lucky I feel to have such a stud as my husband and my forever love. Thank you for being such a support to me, for loving me and being so awesome in so many ways. Things I cannot put into words, because you are so special.
When I thought about something cool to get you to celebrate this day, this thought crossed my mind."Its not about the gifts we can give, because being "us" is the best gift!"
Thank you for saying "I DO" and meaning it.
Here we were just a couple of kids, in love, and fate led us to this life that we have created. I love you.

Sweetness from above

Seeing this cute, beautiful face all day makes everything right in the world. My mom said the other day "Seeing them smile back at you, just makes your day". She's right. Babies are sweet little angels sent to us from above. What special, beautiful gifts. How could you not be filled with love after seeing this...

I am obsessed with her profile. I love it!

Mmmmmm...

I am thinking Carly is rubbing off on Bryn! Caught my little lovey with Carly's pacifier in her mouth. Carly is my only one who has ever taken a binky and even now she is starting to not want it as often. I guess I will just save them all for Bryn. LOL. Just kidding.

The Big Stage...

Aubrie had her first piano recital at the "big stage" ( thats what Brynley calls it) tonight at the Totah Theater. She did so good and we are so very proud of our girl for memorizing her song and being so confident up there. Great Job Girlfriend!

Thanks Karen for this pic!

Thank you for helping me and having us out! Hope we werent too crazy for ya:)

Cheesecake Factory

On Easter morning the Easter bunny left a ton of plastic eggs in the backyard, each filled with a dollar bill! There was a hundred eggs to find, this was one rich easter bunny:)

In my Dad and Mary's neighborhood there are peacocks everywhere!

The kids and Nana dyed Easter eggs one night.

We went to Houston's in Pasadena one night. The best steak I have ever had! Its a very nice restuarant, where they even give out hot, damp towels to wash your hands with and this pic is of Bryn she was putting it on the back fo her neck and face! Cute.

These just might be the ONLY pictures ever of my dad swimming! I have some others that I just mgiht save for blackmail:))The kids thought it was the coolest thing ever that he swam with them.
