#12

Happy Anniversary to my sweet, amazingly awesome husband! We have been married 12 years today and thinking back on these 12 years, it was the best decision I ever made. That one decision has given us all that we hold near and dear to our hearts. So to me, it was  the very best thing I ever did was become Mrs. Mitch Lybrook.  Mitch, I want to tell you Thank you for making these 12 years special and wonderful. You have been the best husband I could have. You are thoughtful and sweet in the little simple things that matter most. You are the one person that just understands me and has my best interest at heart. Thank you for supporting me through all the endeavors I have encountered. You have been my biggest cheerleader and supporter. In fact, you have have been the  one to tell me I could do anything I put my mind to. I hope that I have been this to you in return.
Yes, we have had our challenges and trials along the way but I truly believe those experiences have made us stronger and more in love. We know that having just love isnt enough though. We need patience, perserverance and trust to build the marriage we have.  I am so very grateful for each day I get to spend with you and to be your partner in this life and your soulmate in the eternities. Thank you for being my best friend and the one person I can count on in my life. You are the most amazing father and husband,  I couldnt do life without you. I am blessed to have you!

Thank you for making me laugh every day.

I love you long time baby.

The Umpire Strikes out

I as trying to be clever with my title to this post. Like the Empire Strikes back as in Star Wars, but I changed it up to the Umpire Strike Back. Get it? Anywhoo...
Another season of umpiring the younger boys for Caleb is in full swing. He umpired 9 games last week and two this week. He is going out of town tomorrow for school and so between that and his own baseball practices and games, he was only able to do the two this week. Mitch and I have gone and watched him a few times and he is really good at it. He is loud and really takes his job seriously when he is out there. He is learning more about the game of baseball and more importantly learning and growing within himself. Caleb has wanted a pair of these headphones for the longest time. They are called BEATS by Dr. Dre. Supposedly they are the best headphones out there and he is also saving to buy a turntable and sound board to go with it. He wants to learn how to mix music and make Dubstep sounds. I love that he stays true to himself and is working towards something that interests him. . Really proud of that kid. I took a picture of him last night with Mitch after his games. Caleb was even barefoot standing next to his "old man". Ha! Caleb will be passing Mitch up pretty soon. Gosh, it makes me sad to think about him being bigger than his own dad. But it will happen. He already wears his pants. The ones he has on in this picture were Mitch's. Caleb needed a pair of gray slacks last week and with just a few minutes until his games started I told him to try on Mitch's. What do ya know, they fit. Sheesh. Quit growing son.  I cant help but see nothing but handsome men in this pic.

After I picked Caleb up, I made a comment about how big his chest looks in the chest armor. He made a funny face and said "I am going to wear this to school tomorrow and say Hey ladies, what's up?" I died laughing. Here is the face he made...

This girl...

Yes, it's another post about Carly. I am with her more than any of the others kids so I seem to take more pictures of her. And let's face it being the baby is cute.
We went to get ice cream the other night and we got Carly her first butterscotch chocolate dipped cone. A personal favorite of mine and she loved it!

Carly is a monkey. She climbed up on Mitch's shoulder's at Aubrie's soccer game the other day. Mitch doesnt even mind he is used to these girls being wild with him. I wanted to show how much her hair is growing. I can get two ponies in her hair now:)

Carly likes to wear Brynley's tap shoes around the house. You can hear this clappity-clap sound, echo all the way up stairs. Yesterday, she decided to take the show off and throw it at Bryn's head. Not nice at all. So she had to take them off and give her sister a hug. I dont know what to do with this girl. She is much more "special" than Brynley was. Ugh.

I took down Carly's crib and put her in a big girls bed that was Aubrie's old bed. Aubrie was tired of her daybed so I gave it to Carly. It's been alot different for Carly. I used to just put her in her crib and she would go right to sleep and not even fuss about it. But nap time's are proving to be difficult. Night time she is doing ok. But for naps now I have to read books to her and lay by her. Which I dont mind at all! It gives me and her a nice moment together to relax. Her favorite book is Where the sidewalk ends by Shel Silverstein. Mitch had started to read it to Bryn and now Carly likes it.

New Do's

I got the girl's hair cut the other day. Brynley's hair was just gettting too many tangles every morning and I fet so bad making her cry while trying to get them out, so I decided to get her hair cut so she wouldnt be traumatized anymore. She loves it and so do I! So very  cute and much easier to comb. Aubrie needed just a good trim so we did that and I also let them pick out a color strip to put in their hair, just for fun. Its actually really cool clip on strips on hair in different colors and it curls just like regular hair too. The girls were in heaven with this idea:) Aren't they just the sweetest faces?

Aubrie's Piano Recital 2012

Aubrie has her spring piano recital last night at the Totah. She was so poised and did a fantastic job! I am so proud of her and the sweet girl she is.
I cant help but feel like she is just growing up way too fast. Faster than I want her too. I feel so very blessed to have this beautiful soul in my life. Love you so much Aubs.

Carly J

Once Upon a time there lived a little princess her name was Carly Jane.

This little princess is ever so sweet but also equally as curious. And that curiousity gets her labeled as being naughty by her mother, who tries very hard to overlook her need to be loud and messy. She likes to get into things like paint that stains the carpet we have, or dump toilet paper rolls in the toilet. Did I mention the whole jar of lotion she got all over herself and even tried to eat? Or the time she screamed so loud in the store I just knew people thought I was being mean to her. And also this princess thinks its fun to dump flour all over the counter while I am trying to cook.  Yes, you see this princess is a very curious princess and curious princesses are very, very special. But despite all the crazy things this princess does and tries, I cant help but see such a beautiful, bright little girl.  Carly is such a sweet girl too. This princess uses her manners each and every day! When you give her a cup of water she says "Thank you" or when she hands you something you need she says "You're welcome" She asks nicely when she wants a cookie "Pease" comes so cutely out of her mouth. I love her funny faces she makes, her wild hair she has, her brown, green eyes that are different from anyone else in the family. I love how she likes to snuggle up in her blankets. She has such a love for animals and her brother and sisters. This princess is a good eater and her favorite meal is spaghetti and bread. She is completely in love with her daddy and has him wrapped around her finger. She loves her Uncle Cody. She loves "oke" (coke). And she has recently found a new love for princesses, hence the picture of her wearing her crown.  This princess also has style, she picked out a bright pink tutu skirt at the store the other day and has refused to take it off even at bedtime.  What a pretty, sweet princess we have been blessed with.
Carly Jane, I love you so.

Easter Weekend

I am finding it hard to believe that April is in full swing and that summer is just around the corner. I am getting ready for warm weather, lots of swimming and outdoor activities, BBQ's, late night walks with my hubby, the smell of grass and of course sleeping in. We had a nice weekend together as a family. We tried to keep it relaxing. We took Mitch's dad on Friday for lunch and a dr. appt. We took the kids swimming in the afternoon. Carly loved every minute of it! She was just smiles the whole time. Caleb was whooping everyone on the obstacle course they have there, except his dad. It wont be too much longer that Caleb will show him whose boss. After we went swimming, Mitch and I went out to dinner and had sushi. I had been craving it for weeks and finally got it:) On Saturday, I worked out and Aubs had a soccer game. She is so fun to watch. She just keeps getting better every time she plays. I ran 2.5 miles to Zumba class and then we spent the afternoon dying eggs and making cookies. Then that night, we went to some very special baptism's. My friend and her 3 kids got baptized. Mitch baptized two of them and then on Sunday confirmed them too. It was really sweet to be a part of it. I felt so happy for them to be able to embrace the gospel and to be able to have a new fresh start in life. On Sunday, we got up early for the kids to find what the Easter bunny left them and I made some waffles with some really awesome homemade Buttermilk caramel syrup. The kids loved it. I had a bite and it was ymmy. I have been trying my hardest to stick to my diet though.  We enjoyed church and a nice little dinner that I made and the kids hid eggs and played together most of the evening. At church, I felt completely filled with the spirit and felt to happy to know that my Redeemer lives and loves me.

Favorite Talk

This past weekend I loved listening to all the speakers in General Conference. It was food for my soul. I have been watching more videos on my ipad, even while in the bath. I juust cant get enough. I have needed to hear so many things that were talked on.  But one particular talk hit close to home for me. Not only am I guilty of it but so are people that I associate with. Family and friends included in this close circle. But it also got me thinking about the world in general. If we all treated each other better with more respect, then life would be great. We often allow ourselves to get caught up in everything being about ourselves instead of others. When we do these things we are acting selfish instead of loving. We are allowing our spirit to ge more tainted by the adversary. I think we all needed to hear this wonderful talk. So much was said that caught my attention.  If you would like to hear the whole talk by President Dieter F. Uchtdorf go here.

Real Men...

Snuggle. I just had to take a picture of my boys taking a nap yesterday together. General Conference finally got to them and they were both out. I thought it was so cute that Caleb is such a big boy but he still likes to snuggle and get some lovin from his daddy. I should have taken a bigger picture and shown just how big Caleb looked laying all over Mitch. It was just too sweet. I love these boys!

Mitch took Caleb to the priesthood session of Conference on Saturday night. I was so proud of them for making such a big effort to get there together. I am proud of you guys.
