Not that I want to blog about this but....

I think I have to considering there are people that I dont talk to regularly to let them know. So most of you knew our secret, that we were expecting...until today. We found out that we lost the baby. I will be having a D&C tomorrow. I am fine. I know that this wasnt in my hands and recognize that and KNOW that HE knows what is best for our family. I feel that the future is bright and that everything REALLY does work out for the best.

Proud...

Sorry I am one proud mama. So sue me. I love sharing the sweet things in my life, which lets face it can be hard to find sometimes. So when something sweet and wonderful comes my way, I want to share it. Another brag going my son's way...Caleb wrote this poem in class today. Brought tears to my eyes...

So I dont know if anyone else keeps up with movies, celebs, etc...but just wondering has anyone seen SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE? It has taken best picture at several of the award shows. Its here in ftown but I was just curious if any of you have seen it or heard any other reviews?

I took the girls to the park yesterday to get some shots of them for my class. Aubrie was so helpful not to mention very photogenic. Brynley was more interested in playing not posing. Mitch this is for you. He is very in love with his girls and they have him wrapped around their fingers!

Germs!!!

I wanted to share this with everyone...Last night in my Microbiology class we got to see the results of our samples we took on Tuesday. We went around the campus collecting samples from different sources and then took those samples and put them on plates with different bases to see what would grow. Well, I now know why there are germ freaks out there because bacteria is everywhere! Me and my lab partner collected samples from the water fountain, the toilet seat, her cell phone and the handle coming out of the bathroom. And guess what we found a type of Fungi on the water fountain, Bacillus was growing on the toilet seat and Staph Aureus was on the handle coming out of the bathroom, nothing had grown from her cellphone. Can you believe that??? I mean, I know that these bacteria are everywhere but it was just so gross to see them up close and personal. Another classmate had taken a sample from the vending machine and a mold had grown so rapidly in the plate that it was pushing the lid up! I wanted to take my camera but forgot it. Next time we do a lab like this I will remember my camera. My teacher said we will be going to Walmart and other public places soon to get samples so I will get some pics then.I think this class is going to make me a germaphobe!

Any new books??

Is anyone out there reading any new books? I would love to get my hands on a great new find. I just finished up The Tales of Beedle the Bard by JK Rowling. I have to admit I was a little disappointed. I thought it was a great "childrens" book but I guess I was expecting something different from her. I think she owes it to us faithful followers and obsessed fans of Harry to give us something more than childrens fables. I liked the idea she had but what I really want is more Hogwarts! I am wanting Caleb to read it now to get his take on it.
I like getting recommendations from people when it comes to books. So if you have a book you think I should read, tell me. Thanks!

Miss Busy

Tonight I found Aubrie jumping on the bed. When I was about to tell her to stop I remembered that I need a shot of motion this week for my photography class and said "Wait keep jumping"! I better be the coolest mom for letting their kid jump on their bed! I am blaming Aubrie's hyper-activity lately due to the cold weather and her not being able to go out as much to run off some of her energy. Can anyone say Spring please?

Brain AND Brawn

When I picked up Mr. C today from school, he came running to the car grinning from ear to ear and giving me thumbs ups. Why you ask? Because he got straight A's on his report card! He has made all A's all year and was very proud of himself. We are proud of him too. He knew if he got straight A's he would get to pick out a special reward. What did he choose? Brain Age 2 for his DS. No wonder he got such good grades.
Caleb is such an awesome kid. He is so good to his sisters and each morning wakes up and get himself ready, his lunch and even makes his sister's breakfast for them. What a blessing he has been in our life. There is no greater feeling for a parent than when their children show that they are responsible and loving. And Caleb you are just that.

Brynley Overload

I love this girl! How fun she is everyday. This morning she wanted to play kitchen with me and she is so cute doing so. I jusr had to snap these pictures.
She had her 2 yr checkup appt last week and was only 24 lbs and 33 inches tall. She doesnt even make the 10 percentile for her height. With a mom who is 5'10'' and a brother and sister who towers most kids their age, we have no idea where she came from! But she is perfect and lovely and has so much personality.
PS- Isnt her apron the cutest. My grandma made each of the girls an apron so they can help me out in the kitchen!

Sleeping, Apples and Funny Faces

I got a new Nikon camera for christmas and I am still trying to figure it out. I am taking a digital photography class online that I am hoping will help me learn more about it. I still haven't figured out my lighting, cant you tell?


I came home this afternoon from running errands only to find Bryn asleep in front of our "fireplace". She is infamous for doing this!

Bryn's new thing are apples. She loves them and everywhere she visits she asks "You have apple?"

Feeling the heat...

I wish. I am so sick of winter. If I had it my way I would live in a warm, even tropical climate. I was not meant to storm the weather that Farmington has been having. I hate being cold. I dont like when my feet get cold and lately they always seem cold even with slippers on. This is my most insignificant problem right now.
I have WAY too much on my plate. I dont know what makes God think I can handle what I have coming my way. And whats ironic about it all is that its all my fault. The stress, the anxiety and overwhelmed feelings I have. Why do we self induce ourselves with TOO MUCH? Are we trying to please ourselves or OTHERS? Why do we push ourselves to the breaking point?
I am having to make some of the hardest decisions that I have ever made. I have been praying and trying to make these decisions based on what I feel is best for my family and for myself, but is there really a wrong choice if the outcome will be good?
I hate feeling stressed. Its not a good look for me and lately I havent been looking very good! I hope that I can feel better soon.


On a more lighter note...Aubrie started piano and voice lessons today with Robyn W. Caleb wanted to take a break from piano and so Aubrie took his spot instead. She was thrilled! And loved it!!

Bedtime Stories...

Today we took the kids to see Bedtime Stories. We decided we would take Brynley with us for her first trip to the movie theaters. She was so cute to watch, looking at everything and you could just see her wheels turning and taking it all in. She didnt say a word as we chose a seat and sat her down in the kiddie booster seat. She kept looking at all the people around her, wondering what they were doing there I'm sure. She was so good during the whole thing. I highly recommend this movie for families. I am so happy that actors and movie makers havent forgotten how to make a great family film! After the movie Brynley said "I like movies"! I like movies too Bryn.

Happy 2nd Birthday Brynley

I had a nice start to the New Year, by celebrating my sweet pea's birthday! Brynley turns 2 today!! I cant believe how fast time goes. It really just seems like I had her yesterday. She is such a sweet, funny girl. Her personality is so real and for her age she has such a large vocabulary. Yesterday I was making her cupcakes and I dropped one on the floor and she said "Holy Cow, MOM"! So funny. What love and sweetness she has brought to our family. She still will let you hold her and cuddle her. She loves to play with Aubrie and Caleb and try and do all the things that they do. She loves Dora, Backyardigans, Finding Nemo, and Yo Gabba Gabba. I find her singin to herself and doesnt need anyone to entertain her. She loves her kitchen and to play in the bathtub. We love you so much Bryn. Happy Birthday love bug!

Today we took her to McDonalds (not my first choice but what do you do in the winter time). We invited the Sledges and Verbecks to join us. They played and then we came to our house for some yummy cupcakes. As you can see in the pictures Brynley started to scowl and pout when we sang to her and when we wanted her to blow out her candles! I hope she reacts better after a nap when the family comes tonight.

Here is what Mitch's foot looked like the other day. Today, well I will spare you the picture of it. It is healing, just slowly. He has been such a trooper. We arent sure when he will be going back to work. Not anytime soon.
