Holly's Haven

We went to the Dole Pineapple plantation which had some yummy food and pineapple ice cream. We rode a train around the plantation and were able to see how pineapples grow. It had a cool gift shop and the boys did the pineapple maze, which is the worlds largest maze! It took them over an hour and they still didnt complete it!

Pearl Harbor

We went to Pearl Harbor and was able to see the Arizona Memorial. It was sad to think about the men who lost their lives and who still today fight to protect our country. The picture with the anchor was the anchor of the Arizona that was found a mile away after it had been hit. It weighs over 19,000 lbs and was found that far away. That shows how big of an explosion that hit the Arizona. Glad we went there!

Helicopter Ride

We went on a helicopter ride and got to see the whole island of Oahu. What a beautiful place. The ride was cool except when I puked in thr Aloha bag! Yuck, I was better once I did and felt not so bad once Tara walked off her helicopter ride carrying a bag of puke!

The Polynesian Cultural Center

We went to the Polynesian Cultural center and toured the center with our tour guide, cousin Tab, a guy from one of the islands cant remember which one, who was a returned missionary and is attending BYU Hawaii. He works at the PCC as a tour guide and was funny and informative. We were able to tour the center, which consists of different "islands" you can learn about that makes up the Polynesian culture. Like Tonga, Samoa, New Zealand, Fiji and others I cant remember. You learn about that islands culture and way of life. They sing, dance, and teach you about that specific island. Samoa was my favorite. We were able to see how to husk a coconut, make coconut milk and watch a guy climb a coconut tree. It was really neat. After out tour, we attended a luau and had some poi! Which Caleb had waited to eat fr so long. e was quite disappointed but was happy he finally got some, its not very good! We ate sushi, pulled pork( from the pig they roasted in the ground), fruit, salad, tarot rolls, purple yams and some yummy pina colada out of a real pineapple. Then we went to the night performance that was my favorite part. It was awesome. The dancing, fire eating, hip shaking was very cool. A must if one gos to Hawaii!
