Famous...

Brynley was asked by her preschool to be in some advertising pictures for the newspaper. So on Monday when I was getting her ready she told Aubrie that "she was going to be FAMOUS. Everyone will know her because of her picture in the paper."

Here is the one that ran this week in the newspaper.

More of our Spring Break...

The weather here has been so unpredictable this week! I am glad we didn't have any major plans outside because it would have been cancelled. One day we got rain, snow, sun and hail all in the same day! Crazy weather. One of my friend's said..."You know it's spring break in Farmington when the weather is crappy!"
So we have tried to keep the kids occupied and have a nice time off together as a family. The other day our friend Monique invited us to go skating with them. She had gotten some free passes, so we jumped on that! Thank You Mimi for inviting us to go. The kids had such a great time together.
Yesterday we went to the mall for lunch and then to Big Bounce for three hours! I came home with Carly since she needed a nap. Then Grandma Jo invited us over for some yummy shrimp boil for dinner.
This morning we took the girls to McDonald's for breakfast. We were out of cereal, eggs and almost milk, so we opted for breakfast out. I have never taken the girls to play at McDonald's for breakfast before so it was a fun treat to experience.

First day of spring...break

Yesterday was the first day of spring and today is the kids' first day of their spring break. So far it hasn't been that peachy. Bryn was sickly yesterday but seems but better today. And the wind is blowing so fiercly outside that we cant even see the bluffs in the distance, nothing but a brownish haze of dirt clouds. Its so nasty. So we braved it to get out of the house for a bit and we went to Furr's Cafeteria to eat some lunch. There is a story behind why we eat at Furr's. My dad LOVES to eat there. Every time he comes to town, the kids automatically know that we will eat there. Well about a year and a half ago my dad thought it would be funny to give the kids a 500 dollar gift card to eat there. Of course they thought it was the coolest thing ever. When we finally got it all used, my dad went and bought us another one! So far it has taken us over a year to finish using that one. The kids all like that they can choose what they want and they can even have a dessert. We don't go out often all six of us because it is so expensive, so its great that we can take all the kids and know its paid for. Thanks Dad for your generous gift to us.
So that's what we have done so far today, I know pretty exciting huh:)

Just a Fav or two

I was looking through my pictures on my computer and found these cute as a button pics of Brynley. These were taken last year at her dance recital rehearsals. She has grown so much since then. Look at her chubby little arms and legs. Oh so edible. I love my bini-boo.

Lucky Me...

To have these beauties as mine.
{Happy St. Patrick's Day}

I couldn't get Carly to look at me at all once we took her outside!

This morning I made green eggs and ham and a green "Shrek" smoothie:) The kids look forward to this meal every year. I just put come food coloring in the eggs and some fresh spinach in the smoothie. Ham this year was turkey bacon, I got to stick to my healthy foods. I always make corned beef cabbage for dinner with key lime pie but tonight at Aubrie's school, its Math Night. The PTO puts on a spaghetti dinner and a basket auction to help raise money for the school's needs. There are math games in classrooms and a small assembly. I am the PTO VP and I got Olive Gaden to donate their famous breadsticks and salad:) Go me. Should be a fun night for the kids to mix it up and do something different for this day

Cryfest...

Last night was one of the worst nights ever for me as a mother. Carly cried {almost} all night. If she wasn't crying it was because I was rocking her or walking with her all around the house. I even got desperate for a moment of silence and took her outside. The night was calm and quiet, something that was not to be found inside my house. She was very cranky again this morning until I fed her some blackberries. She is now coming up to me and holding her hand out, saying "Mummum" for them. It has preoccupied her cries and so at this moment I am grateful for blackberries:)
