Thank you...

Mitch, this post is for you. On the day this picture was taken you spent all day on a field trip with Aubrie, coached a baseball game for Caleb and then I found you reading to your sweet Brynley before you went to work all night for 12 hours on no sleep. One word comes to my mind when I think of the dedication you have for our kids...AMAZING. I just want you to know you are what a dad should be. Thank you for being such a great dad to our littles. It means the world to me.

Happenings

Summer is officially here! School is out and I couldnt be more prouder of this girl for all her great work and for being such an amazing student. Aubrie got a very cool award for being the student who showed all Six Pillars of Character in her class for the year! I am so proud of her and am so blessed to have her as my daughter.
Another awesome thing was that there is this math program that the schools in NM all compete in online that is called First In Math. All the kids can go online and play math games and earn points for the ones they complete. Aubrie ranked #1 in the whole 2nd grade in her school and #3 out of her whole school! Great accomplishment. Her teacher also gave me her test scores for this last 9 weeks and she scores well above average on everything and reads at a 5th grade reading level. Super kid!

Aubrie and her wonderful teacher Mrs. Erlandson

I took her to pick out something for her great work and she chose a white cowgirl hat with silver glittery bandana around it. Such a beauty inside and out!

Carly posing so sweetly for a picture.

For naptime, I lay with Carly and we scroll through my instagram pictures and she falls asleep so fast! Works like a charm.

                                                                        Little peanut

We have a strawberry patch and have been getting quite a few yummy strawberries, that was until Carly discovered that the red ones were the ones to pick, so now she goes out there and stuffs her mouth full of the ripe ones before we can even get to them. Smart girl.

She keeps me on my toes everyday! We were watching Caleb at the baseball fields and she climbed up the fence all by herself. She is so strong!

Most Likely to What??

Succeed. Yep, my kid. Caleb got voted Most Likely to Succeed by his peers. Last year he got Best Dressed which I thought was funny since the kid only wears tshirts that say funny things on them. Ha! So the opinion of most 13 year old's dont really mean much. But...I do believe this one. Caleb has been blessed with so many wonderful talents and qualites that whatever he chooses in life, I know he will be successful. I told him that I would be happy for him to be just like his dad when he grows up, A wonderful dad and husband. Thats all I really truly want for my kids is to be happy and to be good people. It really doesnt matter how much money you make or what kind of career you choose as long as you are happy and that you make your family happy.  Caleb has been given these qualities for a reason and I do believe he will use them to the best of his ability. He scored the highest out of the whole school on his MAPS test that he took for Math. His teacher said he scored into Geometry/Pre-Calc. Ummm, they dont even do those classes in middle school! Next year he got lucky and there is a teacher there that will teach an upper math class so he doesnt have to go to the high school. He has one of the highest GPA'S in the whole school too. All in all, he is an awesome student and that makes me proud. It will be interesting to see what direction this kid decides to go but I have a feeling it will be a good one.

Another Babe...

When you have as many kids as I do, you will see that the same kind of "fun" days will be posted more than once:) Brynley also had Hawaiian Day this week at her preschool. I am sad that she will be leaving there and going to real kindergarten next fall. She is so ready and so excited to be able to walk with Aubrie and take her lunch everyday. These past three years have gone by so fast. Brynley has grown and learned so much at Casa Montessori. She has been reading since January and doing Math that some  1st graders do. Her teacher said that Brynley is reading so well that her level is where most kindergartners finish at their first year of school. So she pretty much has kindergarten done:) LOL. I chose a wonderful teacher for her and so I think she will learn even more and will help her right along.

Love this cheesy teethy grin of her's.

Crazy Day!

At school today, Brynley had Crazy day. A day to let the kids dress up crazy and wear funny things to school. Bryn pretty much picked out her outfit, a black dance leotard with her swimming suit top and a dance skirt, with leg warmers and ballet slippers. I even let her pick out some eyeshadow and glitter to wear in her eyes. She had 6 buns and 6 flower bows in her hair, which he totally hated after I had done it. But she got over it and had a great day at school today:) Love my Crazy girl.

Field Day for Aubs

Yesterday Aubrie had her field day at school. Mitch took the day off of work to be there with her and I took Carly with me to get in on the fun. Caleb is in Leadership at school and they were asked to help run the events for the school since its right across the street. We spent the majority of the day and it was so cute to see how competitive Aubrie was. She got 1st place in the softball throw event, something we never saw coming. What she wanted to win was first in the lap run (400 meter). She ended up getting third in it and was so disappointed after that she cried. It could have also been the chest ache she got from running so fast and far after eating lunch. Either way, she wasnt the only one to have a meltdown after that event. Poor kiddos. I was just so proud of her for trying her hardest. She got a few 2nd place ribbon and for some reason I cant remember what they were. All in all it was a fun day for us all!

Here she is getting ready to do the Kangaroo jump race.

Carly was in heaven being able to be with Aubrie all day without Bryn around. She was always holding her hand or getting smothered by the other girls that thought she was just so cute.

They even let her in on the parachute game....

She was lining up to race the 50 yard dash. It was the cutest thing ever.

We picked up Bryn from preschool and checked out Aubrie and Caleb to go and get some lunch    before the second half of the day began. Cute little monkeys.

Even Mitch got in on the fun, caught him hula hoopin with the kids. He is so good with kids. Love that about him.

Cal-Dub

This past Monday, Caleb had the opportunity to take a Dubstep damce workshop with one of my friend's brothers. The dubstep world knows him as Poppin John, I know him as Wesley Austin. He is sooo freakin amazing at dubbin that I jumped on the chance for Caleb to be able to see him in person and to work with him. Most of you dont know that Caleb has a love and passion for Dubstep. He is actually really good for his age and is always working on his dance moves, especially in the mornings when he needs to be getting ready for school:) Caleb really enjoyed the class and I think learned some new moves and tips to work on. One of these days he will let me hopefully post a video of him dubbin. He has been saving his money from umpiring to be able to buy a new Apple computer and some software to be able to make his own Dubstep music. Mitch and I told him we would match what he made this summer to help him with his love of Dub.  The video above is Poppin John's latest video, check it out its so freakin rad.

See Cal's shirt...Dubway beats fresh. Ha!

Hawaiian Day

Aubrie had Hawaiian Day at school today, I just had to snap a picture fo her. She takes my breath away with her beauty. Her sweetness shines through and I am an awe of how wonderful she always is.

Remember this Hawaiian day? She was in preschool in this picture. Can you believe how much she has grown in 3 years?
