Since we were already in Alb, on wednesday I took the kids out to CA to spend the weekend with my Dad and Mary. I know, three kids totally out numbered me but somehow I survived. While we were there Dad had been wanting to take us to see WICKED and I knew it had stuff to do with The Wizard of Oz and I was kinda reluctant to see it. Why? Well, since I was a kid, I have totally despised that movie. I hate everything about it, the monkeys, the witches, dumb Dorothy and her dog , weird things that can talk. Okay, so you get the point I dont like it. But this show was completely different! I fell in love with it. It is the BEST thing I have ever seen. Now top that one. The music, the costumes, the special effects, their voices, the story...all fantastic. I really feel every fortunate that I was able to see it and that Aubs and Caleb got to see it. Aubrie loved it and hasnt quit singing the songs. She even said she wanted to be Elphaba (the wicked witch of the west) for Halloween. I am so grateful that my kids have the opportunities to be exposed to such magical art and I hope they find an appreciation for it. Thanks you Dad and Mary so much, it was really great!

Looks like fun! And I have to agree with you about the wizard of oz movie-never liked it, could never understand what the big deal about it was! Sounds like the wicked thing was cool!!
I am so jealous! I love musical theatre and actually majored in it up here in Utah. Wicked is by far one of my absolute favorites, and I have never gotten the chance to see it! I am so glad you liked it and your kids had a chance to be a part of that kind of art! It is so much fun!
What a treat and an honor to take you and the two cool grandkids. . (Sorry Brynley, your cool too!) We loved taking you to "Wicked". I looked over at you from time to time Holly, and was so thrilled in watching the twinkle in your eye, and your beautiful smile as you watched the play. I hope to be able to take you all again, to see Alfaba, Dorothy, and her little dog "Doe Doe" !! We love you!
Love Dad and Mary (akaPapa&Nana)
I have always hated the Wizard of Oz too! Anyway, looks like you guys had a good time. Ahh. . .I miss the theater. Growing up outside D.C. I used to go all the time. Now I haven't been in years! It's wonderful that your children were able to go as well.I think it's important to provide those types of opportunities for children.
