And this one...
As I was thinking about teachers this week, I couldnt help but think about a few teachers my kids have had that have really made a difference in their lives. One that stands out to me is Caleb's fourth grade teacher Mrs. Murray. She was by far the best teacher I have ever met. I feel very privelaged that Caleb had her. He still talks about her and she does hold a special place in his heart. She loved Harry Potter and so did Caleb. She taught a kids summer class all about Harry Potter for a few summers before Caleb got to have her in fourth grade and I remember we even fibbed about how old he was just so he could take that class. he looked as big as an 8 year old even though he was only 6! But from that first Harry Potter class, Caleb was smitten with her. She encouraged him to write more and he found out that he was a very gifted writer. If every teacher was like her, the world would be a better place.
Aubrie has a wonderful teacher this year, Mrs. Bateman. I love her too. Every time I drive by the school in the evening or on weekends, I see her van parked outside. I know she is so into teaching the kids new and exciting things. She has really pushed all her kids this year to read more and more. I love that every time I have gone into her classroom, all the students as engaged in an activity or reading a story and she is right in the middle of it all. She teaches songs and sings with her class. I love that about her. Aubrie has learned so many new, fun sings this year from her.
I just feel really grateful that my kids have has to opportunity to come into contact with such wonderful influences and I can only hope and pray that each of my kids have that in school.

So cute stuff! I remember my kindergarten teacher, she always had pins in her mouth when she "pinned" our papers to our parents on our chest, her saying was "don't put pins in your mouth" even tho' she always did. Thanks Holly for appreciating teachers! I loved Mrs. Mooney!
