Alpine Slide

Last Friday, Mitch was off for the weekend and so we decided to take a little day trip up to the mountains and go to Durango Mountain to play with the kids. The drive up through La Plata was gorgeous and through Durango and up to the Mountains was just breathtaking! I love the mountains in the summer time. There is just something relaxing and soothing to my soul to be up there. Before we got to Purgatory,  We stopped at the natural hot spring fountain outside of Durango.

Durango Mountain is a ski resort in the winter and in the summer it is a resort with condos to rent and little things to do like the alpine slide. You ride the ski lift up the mountain and then ride the slide down.  The kids rode the slide so many times, Mitch even took Carly down and she loved it!

With the packages we got, you could also do the climbing wall, the bungee trampoline and the zipline.

Aubrie was so fun to watch on the bungee, she was doing flips and even had a double flip!

Caleb was just making us laugh so hard when he was doing the bungee. It was hurting him and so every time he came down, he had this look of pain but was still trying to like it on his face. Hilarious! Poor kid.

Brynley just liked it!

                                                             We have brave kiddos!

On our way home we stopped and ate at our favorite place in Durango, Steamworks.
The kids though it was funny to do the hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil and of course smell no evil:) Oh and thats Nick, Caleb's friend. He is kind of a permanent fixture in our family right now.

My sweet girls. Dont mind the dirt all over Carly's face. She had too much fun that day:)
