Valentine's ideas

I wanted to share this blog with all of you who have little girls, its http://hair4myprincess.blogspot.com its awesome! This lady has made a blog about hairstyles for girls and she has got talent! She gives tutorials and step by step instructions for each hair style. She has some on there that I could never do and it also makes it easier if your daughter has longer hair. But I pulled off this Valentine's hairstyle for Aubrie today and wanted to show you all, if I can do it, so can you!
And just another favorite every year is I love making chocolate dipped strawberries. I have even thought about selling them because I love doing it! Yummy!
It such an inexpensive but classy way of telling those you love Happy Valentines Day!

What's that?

Okay, so my whole life my dad has placed one of the most hideous, embarrassing pieces of "art" in his home. Its the back end of a donkey's butt! A jackass. I don't even know who gave it to him but the sure do know him well! J/K dad!
So when he was moving into his new house,I told him if I saw it in it, I would take it off the wall.
Low and behold, we got a surprise in the mail. The butt.
Caleb and Aubrie both ask us when we visit them "Why does Papa have a donkey butt on his wall?" Its the one question I never have an answer to.
Wow, I am so thrilled that Caleb gets to have this prized possession. (can you hear my sarcasm)
As you can see from the picture, he likes it as much as I do.

Playlist

So I added a playlist to my blog on the bottom. I feel so bad for ever making fun of my parents for listening to their 80's garb, because now I know my kids will make fun of me for loving the 90's! I love 90's music way better than the new stuff that comes out. And those who know me, know how much I love classic rock. I was seriously born in the wrong decade.
I guess we form so many memories when we are young with the music we listen to. I have special places in my heart (really) for some songs that remind me of memories from back in the day. So here are a few of my favorites! Enjoy!

Daddy's Girl

I took this picture today while we were at the field for baseball practice. I LOVE the way it makes me feel when I see it! Bryn was so cute trying to follow her daddy around while he was coaching the boys, she eventually got her way and he picked her up. I took my camera to try and get some depth of field shots for my class. Which by the way i love because I am finally figuring out my camera. I am not a great photographer but it has been fun to learn new things about it.

To my Valentine...

Amongst all the craziness of January, I forgot one important date...The day that Mitch and I officially started dating. We have been together for 13 yrs. Hard to believe that its been that long. We have known each other since 7th grade which was 17 yrs ago. So I can officially say I have been with you longer than I have been without you. And to think I thought he was such a dork when I first met him. J/K He had just broken up with my friend so I had to be faithful to her and hate on him but secretly I thought he was so cute and I fell instantly. His funny humor, and shy boy charm stole my heart. We became best friends and I thought I had fallen into the "friends" category and it would never happen for us. And so when we did finally become a couple, I was so happy and we really fell in love from the beginning. Mitch you have been my best friend for so many years that it has only seemed natural to be with you.
We have come through so many trials together and our love has grown even stronger through those trials and through time. You seriously make me a better person and are MY better half... You are a lefty after all! I find it truly amazing that after all these years we still have "SPARKS" and feel even more in love. Thank you for being such a sweet, compassionate hubby. Thank you for working so hard for our family and providing so much for us to enjoy and have. Thank you for being faithful and ever so sweet to me each day. I am sure that you are one of the few that write love letters to your wife everyday. I hope that I am as good to you as you are to me.

AN OLDIE BUT A GOODIE

Tunes

The other day we were in the car taking Aubrie to school and Brynley said out of nowhere "I DONT LIKE THIS SONG!" Okay, she is 2. Does she seriously have an opinion about what song we are listening to in the car?? Boy are we going to have our hands full with her!

Thank you...

I wanted to post a huge THANK YOU and LOVE YOU to all who have shown me and my family what love is. This past week was definately one of the hardest emotionally I have ever been through. I feel very blessed to have such wonderful, caring, compassionate, charitable people in our life. I had one friend just step right in and take my kids for two days, bring us meals for two days and show me what true friendship is...Thank you Shira. You are an angel! I have had friends and family come by with food, cards, plants and love. I appreciate the phone calls and blog comments. All of these things helped Mitch and I through such a difficult time. We had not planned this baby but knew from the beginning that it was meant to be. We both feel a huge loss and have wondered why this happened. I have felt almost guilty for grieving and a huge feeling of selfishness for feeling the way that I do, but I know why I feel these feelings...because I know what we lost out on in this life. Mitch and I love our kids to no end and envisioned having this little one bless our lives and so we now feel this loss even greater, because we know what we are going to miss out on. But I really do know that my Heavenly Father knows that every choice we make, carves out a new path for us to take and that each path we make should lead us back to HIM. So I have complete faith that this was meant to be...just not in the way we intended it to be.
Thank you, all of you, who have thought about us and kept us in your prayers. I have felt your love and it has given me strength!

Because....

I need to smile today. This made us all smile when we figured out how she was getting out of her crib. Bryn learned how to climb out of her crib a last week and I wanted to share it. Clever, mischievious girl! Time for her toddler bed to be put together.
PS- We were applauding because we wanted her to do it again for the camera. OH that girly excitable YAY that is heard was totally Caleb. He sounds like a girl!!
