Hawaiian Day

Aubrie had Hawaiian Day at school today, I just had to snap a picture fo her. She takes my breath away with her beauty. Her sweetness shines through and I am an awe of how wonderful she always is.

Remember this Hawaiian day? She was in preschool in this picture. Can you believe how much she has grown in 3 years?

A Day for Mom's

What would my life be like with out these monkey's in it?

I have thought about this question alot in my life, especially when days are hard but the answer is always the obvious...my life just  wouldn't be as wonderful as it is because of them. I really couldn't ask for better kids. They are all so amazing, sweet, smart and beautiful inside and out. They make my life so fulfilling and add so much love and joy to it. I look at the blessings I have gained from being a mother and I am so grateful that Heavenly Father trusted me enough to take care of these precious spirits. I hope that he thinks I am doing a good job. My kids mean the world to me and I want nothing but for them to be happy and know that I love being their mama!

Caleb and Aubrie made me an awesome breakfast! I was really impressed that they both got up so early and made waffles and eggs for me. They all made sweet cards and got me some new PJ's that I had been wanting. Aubrie made several gifts for me and I loved everything. It really made me feel special:)

My mom and Grandma wanted to have a picnic up at the property they have at Lemon Lake, so we ventured up there and had a great time. Yummy food and good company, who could ask for anything more.  We actually got a picture of all of us.  Two beautiful woman I admire and love so very much!

                                                           Aubs and her sweet smile

Carly loved every minute of being in nature. She was just as happy as can be!

My brother, Cody the comedian kept us all laughing the whole time. Him and Caleb make quite a team.

I just realized I didnt get a picture of Bryn, Aww, she was just too busy too. She loves going up there and is counting down to camping soon. It was such a fun day, I only wish Mitch could have gone.

Happy Mother's Day to all the woman in my life who make me a better mother and person by their example. My Mom, my Grandma's, my stepmom Mary,  and my dear sweet friends. Love you all.

Passion

Last night, Caleb had a double header in Aztec so I hauled the girls out there and got to watch the first game. And what I saw was nothing short of amazing. Caleb has dedicated the past year to playing baseball. He earned money all last summer umpiring games and chose to spend his earnings on a baseball camp/travel team.  He did that for three months and then right after that he  wanted to do a winter program that Adam Morrissey puts on at the Strikezone for older boys. Caleb went to this camp three days a week and worked his butt off. They did drills, hit,  fielding, did P90X, yoga... hardcore training. I would go and watch him and be so proud of him for never giving up. I am still so proud of him for never giving up. He has passion for baseball. He loves it and just wants to keep getting better. So last night, I saw nothing but everything this kid has worked for. He pitched his heart out. He hit great, and he was the best team player. He never got down when things didnt go well for a while, he stayed strong and kept giving it everything he had. That made both Mitch and I so proud. As a parent, all you want is the best for your kids and for them to succeed at what they desire in life. This was one of those moments for me. I know how much Caleb has worked and I wanted him to see all that sacrifice pay off. I am so happy for him:)

Veggie Tale

Is it abnormal for a child of two to eat ALL of her veggies on her plate before she even touches the noodle's or meat? This girl loves anything green and eats all of her vegetables, then proceeds to steal the broccoli off of my plate. She loves asparagus and would rather have it than mac and cheese. Good girl Carly Jane!

Today

Today was a rough day. Carly has been trying my patience so much that I really felt like I was going to have a mental breakdown. She hasnt been feeling good which has been the biggest reason behind her crying and naughtiness but I pulled through and had some really good moments tonight with the kids. Prayer is such a powerful thing. That is what helped get all of us back on track. I pray with my kids, I say prayers for them and for myself to allow me to be better. Because there is much room for improvement no matter what. It is hard being a mom. And being a mother to four kids, is often very overwhelming and very exhausting. Two feelings I often feel being a mother. But I also feel very blessed and very grateful beyond words that I have been given these four beautiful, amazing souls. I often find myself very sad that some people dont even get to see what I see each day.
I feel so privelaged that I get to spend each day watching them grow and learn. The innocence and love that they possess is truly the most beautiful thing in the world to me. Each of them are special and significant in their own way. Like these little things... Caleb, he will come up behind me and start rubbing my back because he knows I like massages. Or Brynley, she often is the one who tells me I look pretty and always seems to have an interesting story to tell me. Carly has her sweet moments too, as short loved as they are:) She will wrap her arms so tightly around my neck that I can feel her love or when she tells me she loves me.  And of course there is Aubrie, who is one thoughtful girl. She left me the sweetest note tonight taped to my bed post. Inside were words that touched my heart and made me feel so loved. Each of them have changed my life, in their own ways but all for the better. I need to remember this, when I have another bad day like I did today. When it seems to hard and overbearing, I need to remember my life isn't hard, its blessed.

After a very rough day, I was laying on the couch and Carly came over and layed on me and said "Mama, nuggles." It made my bad day, not so bad anymore:)

I am leaving my kids for the 2nd time ever tomorrow. I am going to ABQ to the temple and to get certified to be a Zumba instructor. I am so nervous but also excited for it! I have been needing to decompress and have some alone time. Wish me luck!

Tid Bits

Last week, Caleb went out of town for his National History Day project in ABQ. His project took 3rd here at regionals so he advanced to state for his project on Malcom X. He was gone for just one night and had a great time despite not placing to go to Nationals. When he got home Aubrie was still up waiting to say hi to him and the next time I checked on them this is what I found...
I guess you could say they missed each other.

I made this yummy dessert for Mitch on our Anniversary. It is a Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake. Seriously so freakin good. Go here for the recipe. Gotta love Pinterest!

Last week I threw a little lunch together for my friend Kassie's birthday. These ladies are some of my favorite people! Missing a few but still needed to post this of all these smiley gals:)
