Crazy Car 99'

Today was the Pinewood Derby for the scouts in our ward. I have found that this event is my favorite thing about scouts. All the boys are excited and happy to race thier cars that they worked hard on. Caleb designed his car and with the help of Mitch cut it out, painted it and put the wheels on. He painted it a bright green and wanted to name it Weirdo 99'! I did not let him name his car that so he came up with the green machine and painted Crazy Car 99 on the side. Mitch had a bright green blazer in HS that he called the green machine so I think caleb wanted to copy his dad and have his own one. The derby was fun and Caleb's car did great. He took second place! Way to go Caleb!

Why I love living in the Southwest!

You cant find a sunset like this anywhere else! Not even Hawaii had sunsets this beautiful.
PS- This was taken on our land, I will be able to see this from my kitchen window hopefully this winter!

Blue and Gold

Saturday Night our Scouts held their annual Spaghetti Dinner and Dessert Auction. All the boys served their parents and did such a great job. The dinner and auction earned our boys $950.00! Here are soem really bad lighting shots but I still love em!

When do you give up?

Just wondering is it ever acceptable to give up in life...no matter what it is??

I had two very intersting-okay, not interesting but traumatic, horrible, rough , exasperating, frustrating experiences this past week. When is enough really enough? Does God really give us ONLY the trials we can handle? I have to answer that question as a NO! I think he gives us trials that we CAN'T handle, we just push ourselves to the limit to overcome those tough times and in the long run we do get stronger and gain more faith so that we can handle those unbearable times. But really I think I have met my tolerance on one of those Goliath's I have had in my life for some time now. I feel DEFEATED and HOPELESS...TRULY. I would like to think of myself as a strong person but maybe there are some trials in life we were not meant to overcome. So then what do we do then? Give up? Keep fighting? Honestly, I want to wave my white flag at this point. Surrender and accept defeat!

Aubrie's New Adventures

I have been meaning to post about my sweet Aubs. This week she started going to school all dday instead of half a day. She LOVES it! I asked her what her favorite thing about going all day is and she replied " Lunch!" She loves that she gets to stay all day and play with her friends and has thrived off of being in school. She will start reading her first book tomorrow.
Also she started taing gymnastics about a month ago with her lovely friends Macy and Kaitlyn. I love these girls, thay are like family to us and Aubrie has such a nice time going with them to gymnastics. Aubrie went on a field trip to Allstar Gymnastics in school and for two weeks she hounded me about putting her in them so I finally did and am so happy I did. Here are some shots for her being "Miss Busy". She is staying true to her nickname.

I LOVE THIS!

The first 3 people to respond to this post will get something made by me. My choice. Made especially for you.

Restrictions and Limitations:
1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It will be done this year.
4. You have no clue what it's going to be, because I don't even know what it's going to be!
5. I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.

The Catch: You must re-post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 3 people who comment on your post and agree to do the same! So get ready for your mystery treat but be prepared to share the love!

Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you get when you get it.

My Scooby

Brynley is really into Scooby Doo right now. All of our kids have liked it alot but Brynley LOVES Scooby. She sings the song all the time and likes the fruit snacks that are Scooby Doo, she even refers to them as "Scooby snacks". But she really loves it when Mitch does an Scooby Doo impression. I thought that her singing it was just too cute not to share.
