Also we went to his Parent Teacher Conferences last friday and heard nothing but exceptionally great things about him. All of his teachers think he is such a good kid and his science teacher raved about how intelligent he is. In her class she asks the same question every year to her students and no one ever comes up with the right, logical answer. She even teaches at the college and no adults have ever gotten it either...Well guess who got it?? Yep our brain child. She said she was ecstatic that Caleb gave her the answer she has always wanted from a student. She said right away she knew he was someone special. Nice huh. He struggled the first few weeks in his gifted classes. He came from a gifted teacher in 5th grade that made it super fun to do academics. It took him a few weeks and a talking to from his mama for him to understand that middle school isnt all fun and games, its school and you are there to learn. The gifted classes are just accelerated academic classes that are taylored for smarter kids, its work and not all play. So that and getting him more organized in his locker and classes was a challenge. He is much more adapted now and doing fantastic. I am really proud of him.
