Kris Allen was named the newest American Idol. Did America get it right? I really think it was well deserved between both of them. They both did great the night before but when it came down to it...Kris won. I LOVED Adam. I think why I liked him so much is because he was different than any other person that has been on Idol. He was a great singer and performer, and he has paid some dues being a performer for so long. He deserved some pay off for that alone.Plus he added some spice to this competition and I think he is going to do well out there no matter what. I will buy his album:))
Kris is very talented also and I am happy that a young guy like him got a break in life. It will be intersting to see who does better huh!
And on my last note...Can I just say American Idol is totally hamming it up and sucking it dry for two hours of our time!! Granted to it was great to see some of the greats singing with the Idols but on the other hand giving air time to people like Norman Gentle and Bikini girl (who Kara just made a huge fool of:))- I think is ridiculous! I was so ready for it to be over with that when the results came it was just not even a climax in the show because so much had gone on for two hours, I just wanted to hear the name and go to bed.

I think bote were deserving! BUt I totally agree with the ending not being much of a climax. I dont think they planned that part out very well. He didnt have his "Moment".
I am mad! I totally wanted Adam to win!! I agree that the show dragged on way too much and by the time they announced the winner it was already 9 and they had run out of time. They need to plan that better next year. I like Kris, but I just really LOVED Adam! I wanted to see him win!
Yo, for me for you it was alright dude. I will give Adam credit for not becoming a huged headed arrogant cocky dude after all the flattering praise he would get every week from all 4 judges, he stayed nice and humble, and kris too. they both deserved it, and without a doubt if it were up to the judges, Adam would have won. Kris thought so too. It was a pretty entertaining final show, and i wish it were over but Adam will be continuing his career in our car and house, yay.

I totally agree that the finale was waaaaaaaaaaay too long! But thank goodness for DVR's because Jimmy and I watched it in just under an hour, skipping all the blah blah blah (of course he made me stop and listen to the tongue- sticky-outy Kiss boys. Blech!) But it would have been fine either way. Adam is a talented guy and will of course be 'iconic' so I was glad Krissypoo won and sealed the deal for him. I think I really loved the moment of him and his wife hugging at the end. She was such a sweet supporter the whole time. I love me some good ol' fashioned love!
